We Have A Kenmore Refrigerator That The Ice And Water Dispenser Has Stopped Working On. Ideas?

The ice dispenser still makes ice, and there are no obstructions blocking the dispenser. But when we go to use it there is no sound or movement when we push on either the ice or water dispenser part. Fridge is only eight years old. I suspect a faulty dispenser motor.

If the water dispenser is not working, then your problem is not the motor. Most fridges will have a light on the water dispenser as well. If this light is not working then you have lost power to the dispenser controls and/or they are not working properly and you will need to get a repairman. If the light does come on, then there is something telling both the ice and water dispenser not to come on. Check the door closed switch. This switch tells the fridge that the door is closed and that it is OK to run the dispensers.
