Water Flow From Dispenser Is Choppy?

I bought a cheap water dispenser for the fridge. It just one of those simple plastic ones. It’s about a gallon size. The water only comes out right when it’s completely full. After I get one cup of water, it starts to slowly sputter instead of draining smoothly. Any easy way to fix that? Thanks.

THERE MAY BE A LITTLE PIECE OF SOMETHING BLOCKING THE LINE, TRY RINSING IT OUT WITH HOT WATER

You have to have a small air hole on the top, otherwise you are creating a vacuum-seal and the water will only dribble…if you keep trying to draw water out of it, you’ll notice that it looks like it’s collapsing in on itself; those 2 1/2 gallon water jugs in the supermarket have a tiny ‘dot’ on the top/front that has to be punctured to allow air in…same idea. If your water jug has a screw-on top (instead), loosen the top enough to allow some air in.

plain jane has the right answer..
