If you’re thinking about buying a home water treatment system for your home but aren’t quite sure which direction to take, let me point you in the direction of whole-house water treatment systems. In my humble opinion, these comprehensive systems give you the biggest bang for your clean water buck.

You see, when it comes to a home water treatment system, drinking water shouldn’t be your only concern. Because you also need clean water to bathe and cook its just makes sense that whole-house water treatments are the the better investments.

Let me explain why I’m making this recommendation.

I’m sure you’re already aware that providing your family with clean, contaminant-free water helps to promote their health and well-being. Whole-house water treatment systems are the most convenient way to deliver clean water from everything that dispenses water in your home.

Just think about it. By connecting this home water treatment system to the main water line that comes into your house, you can have safe, pure water from faucets, baths, showers, toilets, washing machines, etc. And because the water flowing through the pipes in your home is free of corrosive chemicals, your family won’t be exposed to lead or copper that has leached from the pipes.

There is also an environmental bonus attached to whole-house water treatment systems. The water that leaves your home and goes back into the sewer line will be free of chemicals and bacteria, further protecting your family and community.

Last, but not least, is the cost of this type of home water treatment system. At less than fifty cents a day, quality whole-house water treatment systems are, by far, the least expensive and most convenient way to filter and purify water.

Just as a comparison, you could pay between $1 and $4 a gallon for bottled water and not be sure of the true quality of the water. That’s an expensive chance to take with the health of your family.

So now that you know all this, what’s your next step?

My recommendation is to be a good consumer and take a look at some whole-house water treatment systems. As a starting point, I recommend looking at a home water treatment systems that uses a multi-stage filtration process. I have found this technology to be the best at removing a wide range of toxins, bacteria and odor-causing sediments, while lowering dangerous levels of chlorine. As an extra health bonus, multi-stage filtration leaves beneficial minerals untouched.

Make no mistake about it. Whole-house water treatment systems can give you the biggest bang for your clean water buck!

Every Human Being?s Right

Even so, there is little doubt that water is one drink should be clean and free of contaminants, no matter one is living in impoverished lands or in the more affluent nations of the world. Getting clean as well as safe drinking water is the prerogative of every human and getting proper as well as clean drinking water an inalienable right of the human race and it is the responsibility of governments to ensure its supply. Getting regulated drinking water can be either through municipal water treatment plants or water well servicing at a campground.

Today, one may even be in awe of the latest contaminant treatment methods being used to obtain pure drinking water. Nevertheless, the human race has, from ancient times, taken steps to ensure that the water they drank was fresh and very often, they judged the quality of drinking water from its taste and were unaware that even best tasting water could be impure. According to historians, there is evidence to support that water treatment was practiced in ancient times and that boiling water was an effective means in eliminating impurities. Even as early as 1905, it was found that keeping water in copper vessels that were exposed to sunlight and then filtered through charcoal could purify water.

Water and The Industrial Revolution

With the coming of the Industrial Revolution, the many steps taken in obtaining clean drinking water found a new horizon opening up and there was need to cleanse and purify water off the many chemicals that had begun to contaminate drinking water. It gave rise to newer and more sophisticated water treatment methods to purify water that had begun to be contaminated, due to the side effects of the Industrial Revolution.

In present times, countries with gigantic populations such as India and China are desperately in need of supplying their populations with clean drinking water. China has set a goal of providing every Chinese with pure and clean drinking water by the year 2020. In this direction, they are planning on ambitious long term projects to tackle the problem of clean drinking water that is seriously hurting the quality of life of its rural population and, threatening millions of these inhabitants.

There are more than one billion people that do not have access to clean drinking water and unsafe drinking water is the greatest killer of children aged less than five years. The access to clean drinking water will enable women and children to devote time to more gainful pursuits and attend schools or plant vegetables. There is thus, plenty of concerted effort being directed in achieving the goal of providing clean drinking water and, even countries such as India, have put their weight behind providing children and women access to clean drinking water.

Have you put off purchasing a home water filter system because you’re worried that you would lose your investment if you had to move? Well I’m here to tell you that its possible to purchase a portable water purification system, guaranteed to easily and conveniently move with you. This means that you make a one-time investment for a lifetime of clean water for your and family.

Let’s face it. With all the environmental toxins that experts are telling us are in our water, owning a water purification system is no longer a luxury. It’s is a necessity. Just doing some simple research online will yield dozens of companies that specialize in home water treatment. However, there are only a few that provide portable water purification products.

Heavy duty systems like reverse osmosis and distillation tend to be more appropriate for commercial use. When adapted for residential use, these water purification systems are still unwieldy and maintenance-intensive. Even if you weren’t looking for a portable water purification system, reverse osmosis and distillation have other drawbacks that may make you rethink the hefty investment. Both require the addition of a carbon filter that must be regularly changed, to catch synthetic chemical contaminants and parasites and bacteria that the main filters are incapable of removing. Both systems also strip out health-enhancing minerals like calcium and magnesium. The end result is expensive water that is clean, but not necessarily healthy.

Bottled water could be considered portable water purification, if it wasn’t for the fact that there is no guarantee that the water is actually pure. There are no government regulations that require bottled water to be any cleaner than tap water. The U.S. FDA has publicly stated that, “Companies that market bottled water as being safer than tap water are defrauding the American public.”

For my money, the best portable water purification system is one that uses multi-stage filtration technology. This comprehensive approach to water purification means that everything I don’t want in my water is removed and everything that I do want in my water remains untouched. I no longer have to worry about high levels of chlorine leaching heavy metals from my plumbing or creating an irritating gas in the steam from my shower.

I can also feel confident knowing that synthetic chemicals like pesticides, herbicides and agricultural runoff are not in my little girl’s glass of water. She can enjoy a safe, pure, great tasting drink of water that contains essential minerals important for the health of her teeth and bones.

You may be pleasantly surprised to learn that multi-stage filtration products come in a variety of forms designed to suit your personal needs. Over and under the counter water dispensers, shower filters and whole house filters can provide water when and where you want it. Each of these products is a portable water purification system in itself, as they are just as easy to remove as they are to install. If you need to relocate or just want to purchase a new home, your portable water purification system easily goes with you.

Make no mistake about it. A home water treatment system is an important investment that deserves serious consideration. Why not spend your hard-earned money on a system that delivers the cleanest, healthiest, best-tasting water WHEREEVER you may be. A one-time investment in portable water purification will yield a lifetime of healthy returns for you and your family.

We have well water, treated with a softener and the water coming out of the taps tastes fine. I’m wondering if maybe there is some bacteria or mold inside the water line leading to the fridge. Just a guess….
I might just change the filter but at $50 a pop I’d like to keep that to a minimum and change only when the light indicates.
