I Have A Fridge With The Filtered Water Dispenser, Can I Drink Water From This If I Have Soft Water?

Right now I have hard water and drink water from my filtered water dispenser in my fridge. If I install soft water, will the water in my fridge be drinkable since it has the filter?

You should have no problem drinking the water

You’ll want the water source from the fridge to come out before the water softener. Whoever installs the water softener should be able to accommodate that.

I don’t think the filtration has anything to do with hard and soft. Hardness is fully dissolved and has nothing to do with a filter. It only shows up when you try and use soap with it coz it makes insoluble compounds with the soap (scum).
I think you need to look more carefully at your vitamin/mineral intake if you are going to use soft water, coz there will be less, if any, calcium in it, and calcium is good for you.

NO! what ever you do, do not put soft water in your fridge! really if you do it might get cold.
