This is a nice dispenser. The only problem I had was that part of the stand was missing and to get those parts, they insisted they had to send me a whole new dispenser. At first one of their people, a rude man, told me I had to ship the entire thing back to them. But the next business day I talked to a nice person and she told me I only had to send them the serial number sticker from the machine and a piece of the cord. I talked to several people, it took a month to find out they didn’t have the individual parts. I think the girls I talked to sent an order for the parts, and they didn’t have them so I got dropped. So, if you have a problem with the machine, keep nagging them, until you have what you need. One more caveat is an item that came with both machines. a funny looking gadget that doesn’t seem to go anywhere and doesn’t seem to do anything. I can’t find out what it is. I’m going to call tech support and see if they can tell me when I have more time. Meanwhile the machine is working good and saving me money.

The cooler which arrived was extremely noisy so I contacted Amazon to get a replacement. The replacement arrived with the plastic part that received the water bottles not set in evenly. I returned the second one for a refund. Either the supplier is shipping defective products through Amazon, or they have a serious quality control issue in production.Haier Water Dispenser – WDNSC145

We recently discontinued our bottled water service at work to save some money. So the four employees that are in the office on a daily basis chipped in to buy our own unit (and refill our 5-gal jug at home). I did a lot of reviewing on Amazon and other sites. This unit stood out as the best deal. After some easy assembly and start-up, we are all extremely pleased with it (one month later). It’s great having on/off switches for both hot and cold water. We can turn the unit off on the weekends to save power. We did have a slight leak in the cold water spigot. But after popping the lever with it’s own spring action, it re-seated and has worked fine since. Something to keep an eye on. Very happy overall.

I was attracted to this unit because it includes separate power switches to turn off the hot and/or cold water when you want to. I like hot water on the red tap, and room temperature water on the blue tap, and it’s actually very hard to find that combination of features.
Unfortunately, the water that comes out tastes like burnt plastic. I called manufacturer, who suggested soaking the inside of the unit with solution of baking soda (1 Tbsp), vinegar (1 Tbsp), and water (1 Gal), but this did not fix the problem.
One other note: Having tried out a few water dispenser units recently, I can say without a doubt that this one has the most annoying child safety device on the hot water tap. As a result, the hot water tap is awkward to use.
Manufacturer offered to send a replacement but it would take three weeks to arrive. Since we had already waited two weeks for delivery of the original unit, I decided to return the product for a refund instead.
The Amazon.com return page said I would have to pay return shipping, but I called Amazon and they sent me a free return shipping label.
In sum: the product quality was lousy but the customer service from the manufacturer was pretty good and from Amazon was outstanding.

The main reason this product gets 2 stars from me: the hot water heater stopped working about six weeks after I set it up. It was just outside the Amazon 30-day return window, but they took it back anyway (Thanks Amazon!).
However, I wasn’t thrilled with it when it was working properly. The dispenser unit functioned OK – cold water was cold, hot was hot – but the workmanship was poor. The base was difficult to assemble and didn’t give me confidence that it would stay together. The door didn’t open and close smoothly either.
I plan to buy another cooler, but it won’t be from Haier.
